Webtools have joined forces with new central Christchurch clinic, Phoenix Health Hub, to implement Centrik and the Well consumer health app – enabling the delivery of frictionless healthcare services to patients.

Phoenix Health Hub is a newly established general practice in central Christchurch. Located at 166 Moorhouse Avenue, the clinic opened on Monday 10 October to meet the healthcare needs of inner-city residents and central city commuters. Along with a general practice team, the clinic will also offer integrated services with Phoenix’s physiotherapy, occupational therapy, vaccination clinic, health monitoring, home and community support, nursing services, and an ear clinic already at the site. Also onsite is a rehabilitation gym, hydrotherapy pool, and phlebotomy service.

With the aim of providing high-quality patient care and a seamless service, Phoenix Health Hub – which is a partnership between Phoenix Healthcare Group and Third Age Health – has teamed up with health-tech company Webtools to implement their Centrik platform and Well consumer health app. Integrating in real-time with a patient's electronic health record, Centrik is the trusted source of consumer health information and enables access to services to support a patient’s healthcare journey.

Standards-based and built to integrate with different health providers, Centrik provides a platform for Phoenix Health Hub to digitally integrate the services available at the site, as well as frictionless patient engagement via the Well mobile application.

Patients will be able to use the Well app to view their health records, book in-person appointments and virtual consultations, request repeat prescriptions, message their GP team, and receive notifications. Implementing a modern digital solution to handle these services from day one sets the standard for the level of seamless service patients can expect from Phoenix Health Hub.

Centrik has been designed to meet the needs of consumers and general practice teams, providing the best possible experience for patients engaging with the Well app, and also for the clinic’s team. Centrik is a new breed of health technology perfectly suited to achieve the aims of a modern healthcare facility.

“Working with Webtools to roll out the Centrik platform from the beginning means we are able to have in place efficient and sustainable processes to meet patients’ needs and offer the best possible service. This includes features such as patient pre-appointment screening directly within the app. It’s an exciting space to be in,” says Phoenix Health Hub Practice Manager, Chenoa Walker.

The new Phoenix Health Hub practice, located at 166 Moorhouse Avenue in Christchurch, opened on Monday 10 October 2022.

Webtools CEO, Harry Hawke, commented; “We’re excited to connect with another Ōtautahi-based business and are looking forward to working together with the Phoenix team to provide a seamless digital solution that powers better engagement and health outcomes for their patients.”

Phoenix Health Hub have opted to implement the Medtech Evolution practice management system (PMS), allowing for out-of-the-box integration with Centrik via Medtech’s ALEX® platform using FHIR. With FHIR standards built into Centrik’s foundations, the platform is ready to easily integrate with health providers to securely share patient data and provide integrated healthcare services.

Centrik recently marked an exciting milestone with 25 practices connected in the six months since launching to consumers, and growth is only continuing. Read more about the Centrik platform here.
